Day 1
- Adatepe Village - Zeus Altar – Kazdağları - Tahtakuşlar Village - Ethnography Museum - Olive Oil Museum - Zeytinli - Hasanboğuldu Waterfall - Çanakkale - Our journey with DGN Travel continues into Gökçeada, Bozcaada, Assos, and Kazdağları, followed by a breakfast break in the morning. After breakfast, we start our journey towards the region known in ancient times as Ida, which is one of the best oxygen-rich areas in our country; we head to Kazdağları. Our first stop is the Zeus Altar, known from Greek mythology as the place where Zeus watched the Trojan War. Enjoy the magnificent view of the Aegean Sea. Then, we arrive at Adatepe Village, located in the heart of Kazdağları, where natural stone artistry is expressed. While touring the village, you'll experience beautiful architecture harmonizing with nature, and you'll want to linger in the streets. Next, we go to Tahtakuşlar Village, one of the villages established at different times by Yörük and Turkmen tribes settling in the Kazdağları region. Tahtakuşlar Village blends Shaman, Yörük, and Bektashi traditions. We visit the Ethnography Museum, established by Alibey Kudar, to learn about the local culture. Afterward, we visit the Olive Oil Museum, where you can learn about olives and olive oil production. After gaining information and shopping, we head to Zeytinli Village for free time. Visitors can explore the oxygen-rich Zeytinli Village or join an optional excursion to Hasanboğuldu Waterfall (extra). The Waterfall is tucked among dense forests of Kazdağları and is considered a sacred site linked to the legend of Sarıkız. It takes a 20-minute walk through cold, flowing water to reach the waterfall. After enjoying local products like tea and coffee, we meet at the bus to return to Zeytinli Village. Once our time here ends, we move to our hotel. - Bozcaada – Rüzgar Gülleri – Ceneviz Castle – Ayazma Beach – Swimming Pause – Behramkale Assos – Athena Temple – Çanakkale - Our second day with DGN Travel begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a transfer to Geyikli ferry pier to go to Bozcaada. While waiting for the ferry, enjoy tea or coffee on the beach. Since bus transportation isn't available on the island, we will transfer on foot. After a half-hour ferry ride, we arrive at Bozcaada. Approaching the island, we see the impressive Bozcaada Castle, which we visit with our guide. Then, we stroll through charming streets of the Turkish and Greek neighborhoods. We have free time for the rest of the day, during which guests can visit the Talay Wine Factory, famous for local wines, or relax on Ayazma Beach or Aquarium Cove. Those interested can also visit Rüzgar Gülleri for photos and panoramic views (additional minibüs transfers are at guests’ expense). At the designated time, we gather at the ferry to leave the island and head to Behramkale (Assos). At Behramkale Village, we disembark and climb up to the acropolis, which is built on a 238-meter-high andezite rock, to see the Athena Temple dedicated to the goddess of wisdom and wisdom. The ancient Doric-style temple offers a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea. After a brief photo break, you can enjoy coffee or shop local products in the village square. - Çanakkale - Gökçeada – Dereköy – Zeytinliköy – Aydıncık (Kefaloz Beach) – Swimming Break – Çanakkale - On the third day, after breakfast at the hotel, we reach the Kabatepe Ferry Pier to go to Gökçeada by ferry. Upon arrival, guided by our guide, we have all-day free time for swimming or exploring. Transportation within the island is via public transport. Guests can participate in an optional full-day island transfer tour with swimming stops, visiting Dereköy, the only Rum village on the island, with its strategic location and Pirgos Harbor which contributed to its development. We walk through the village’s historic structures and enjoy free time. Then, we visit Zeytinliköy, a highly visited village known for its traditional coffee and rose water dessert. Next, we head to Aydıncık (Kefaloz) Beach, a popular sandy beach with 1200 meters of fine golden sand, where we spend the rest of the day swimming. For lunch, local seafood and dishes made from goats and sheep grazing on herbs are recommended. According to the ferry schedule, we gather at the port for the return ferry to Kabatepe and conclude our full-day Gökçeada and Bozcaada tour. We then begin the journey back to Istanbul, dropping guests at specified points, and look forward to seeing you again on our next DGN Travel activity.
