Life and Brief Information on Cruise Ships

Cruise ships can be likened to floating deluxe hotels equipped with state-of-the-art technology. You can follow the daily program listing activities to be done through the ship newspaper distributed to your room the evening before each day. This newspaper can be thought of as a bulletin containing all the information you need to know about what will happen on the ship that day, including all activities, weather, information about the ports we will visit, and contact information for reservations at special restaurants or spas. The most common language on the ship is English. If you are on a Turkish-guided program, our guide will assist you with everything from ship bulletins to restaurant menus and prepare special bulletins for you, our valued guests.

Upon boarding the ship, you need to check in at the desk located at the entrance of the ship to hand over your luggage, passport, and credit card information (a deposit will be taken for potential expenses). Your passport will be returned to you only at the end of the tour after being handed over at the start of the trip. After handing over your passport to the ship, you will be given a Boarding Card. This card will serve as both your passport and your cabin key and will be used for all transactions you make on the ship. The Boarding Card contains various written information such as your name, cabin number, and dining session.

There is a dress code for passengers on the ship. Since there are special events on the ship such as the captain's welcome dinner and gala night, we kindly ask you to bring elegant and classic clothing. You can follow events like gala night and welcome dinner, as well as other special events through the initially mentioned ship newspaper. The bulletin will also specify the dress code.

On cruise ships, there are buffet restaurants open 20 hours a day where you can eat at any time. In addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the main restaurant included in your fee, there are also fast food spots and buffets. The ship also features special concept restaurants such as Thai restaurants and a Steak House. You can make reservations in advance to taste special meals prepared by special chefs in these restaurants. Thematic restaurants are subject to additional charges.

Cruise ships offer many facilities and activities for families with children. There are children’s pools and play clubs where kids can spend time.

Cruise ships are designed by engineers to avoid swaying during travel, and ship captains are specially trained. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the ship, including your cabin. You can smoke in places without signs prohibiting smoking on the open deck and where ashtrays are located. There is a doctor and nurse on board the ships. There are also cabins for disabled guests available on the ships.
