Day 1 ISTANBUL - ROME

We meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, we board Turkish Airlines for our flight to Rome. Upon arrival, we transfer to our private buses and head to the center of Rome. Once, a city shining with endless splendor and shaped by the winds of history, Rome has hosted emperors’ magnificence, the courage of gladiators, and the highest forms of art. On this tour, we will see Castel Sant’Angelo, where Cem Sultan was imprisoned. Castel Sant'Angelo was initially built as a mausoleum by Emperor Hadrian and later transformed into a fortress. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, it was also used as a type of prison and papal fortress. Another place we will visit in Rome is the Colosseum, a massive arena that carries the spirit of ancient times in the heart of the city. Once, brave gladiators and wild animals fought epic battles here amidst the cheers of the crowd. After visiting the Colosseum, we approach the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), famous for its appearance in the film “Sweet Life,” where the melody of water echoes among the dazzling statues.

When you throw a coin into the fountain while making a wish, the magic of Rome will never let you go. It is said that those who come here once will surely return one day. Hadrian's Temple and the Spanish Steps, consisting of 135 steps and featuring the sunken ship fountain, are among the places to visit. We then head to the famous St. Peter's Square in the Vatican. Once we arrive, we have free time to explore the square. The obelisk in the middle and the columns surrounding the square will impress you. While wandering around the square, you can see the Apostolic Palace and the famous window where the Pope prays on Sundays. In the evening, we return to our hotel in Rome and have free time to rest.

Day 2 ROME (NAPLES – POMPEII)

After breakfast, there’s free time. Guests interested can join the optional Naples and Pompeii tour organized by our guide (100 €). We depart for Pompeii, located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, which was buried under ash due to the eruption in A.D. 79. Pompeii was an important trade and cultural center during the Roman Empire. The city was a prosperous settlement where agriculture, trade, and art flourished. However, due to the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius, the city was suddenly covered by a layer of lava and ash. This disaster preserved Pompeii's everyday life at that time and turned it into an open-air museum until today. After our visit to Pompeii, we head towards Naples. Following our arrival in Naples, we will tour the city. Naples was founded by the Greeks in the 7th century B.C. and serves as the capital of the Campania region in southern Italy. The city has been a significant center since the time of the Roman Empire and has hosted many cultures and civilizations from the Middle Ages to the present day. The city center (Centro Storico) is famous for its narrow streets, historic churches, ancient ruins, and magnificent squares. Key sights include the Duomo di Napoli (Naples Cathedral), built in the 13th century, Castel Nuovo (New Castle), Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace), San Carlo Theatre, Galleria Umberto I, and Via Toledo Street. After our tour, we head back to Rome. Following free time given by our guide, we regroup at the designated time and return to our hotel in Rome in the evening for an additional rest period.

Day 3 ROME – (VATICAN & OUTLET – CASTEL GANDOLFO – NEMI)

After breakfast, there’s free time. Guests interested may join the optional Outlet and Lakes Region tour (Outlet – Castel Gandolfo – Nemi) (55 Euro). In Castel Gandolfo, shaped around an elegant castle stretching into the sky, you will be captivated by the magic of this peaceful village where history and nature embrace at every step. The lake, resembling the bluest mirror under the sky, serves as a gateway to a fairy tale world with its tranquility and beauty. The Apostolic Palace located in the heart of the village symbolizes the beauty of fairy tales and historical grandeur. For centuries, popes have found peace and respite in this magical place. You will feel as if you are in a dream with its gardens and colorful flower-filled paths. Nemi is famous for its strawberry fields that shine like red jewels. The annual Strawberry Festival is celebrated with colorful festivities. After exploring Nemi, we have free time in Italy's most famous outlet region. These outlet centers offer attractive shopping opportunities for both locals and tourists. After discovering Rome's historical and cultural riches, you can enjoy a delightful break in these modern shopping centers, finding souvenirs for your loved ones and special items for yourself. Our first stop on the tour is the historic and romantic Italian city of Pisa. Of course, everyone’s first thought is the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This square dazzles not only with the tower but also with the magnificent Duomo Cathedral and Baptistery made of white marble. Each, displays the artistic and architectural riches of medieval Italy. After visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the nearby Miracle Square, we head to San Gimignano. As we step into the medieval town of San Gimignano, the first thing that catches your attention will be the towers. Once there were 72 towers, now only 14 remain. These towers were built to showcase the power and wealth of wealthy families. Piazza del Duomo is the center of social and religious life in the town. Here lies the San Gimignano Cathedral, built in the 12th century, featuring magnificent frescoes reflecting the spirit of medieval Italy. Next to the cathedral is the Palazzo del Popolo (Town Hall). Our next stop is Piazza della Cisterna. This enchanting square takes its name from an ancient cistern in the middle. The square feels like walking through a time tunnel with its stone buildings and historical structures. Here, you can explore small shops selling local products and handmade souvenirs and taste one of the world’s most delicious ice creams at the famous gelateria (Gelateria Dondoli) located at the corner of the square. After the tour, we move to Siena. Arriving in Siena, the first place we will see is Piazza del Campo, the heart of the city. This vast and sloping square is considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. In the center of the square is Fonte Gaia, a fountain made of marble. The square hosts the famous horse race, Palio di Siena, held twice a year. This race features horses from 17 different contradas (neighborhoods) and is an exciting event. The Siena Cathedral (Duomo di Siena) is also among the places to visit. This magnificent Gothic structure is adorned with white and green marble. Walking through the narrow and winding streets of Siena, history greets you at every corner. While strolling through the city, you might come across a wall fresco or an ancient stone structure. The famous Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri) is also here, where prisoners took one last look at the city before being taken to their cells. During our city tour, we will see the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge, the Doge's Palace, the Bell and Clock Tower, and the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. When you arrive in Venice, the first thing that catches your eye is, of course, the water routes.
