Çeşme Sakız Island Tour with a Moving Express Ferry, 2 Nights, Departing Daily

Tour details
1st Day: Çeşme – Chios Island For the Chios Island tour, we meet at 08:00 in the check-in office at the entrance of the Çeşme customs port. After passport control, our pleasant journey across the blue waters of the Aegean begins at 09:00. Upon arrival at Chios port, after the entry procedures, we meet at our office, leave our luggage, and give free time until the transfer time. You can explore the island’s streets, visit APLOTERYA, the Chios bazaar, MECİDİYE Mosque built by Sultan Abdulmecid, and VOUNAKİ SQUARE, the largest and busiest square on Chios Island. 2nd Day: Chios Island After breakfast at the hotel, we visit CHIOS CASTLE, which was built during the Byzantine period and later served as the administrative center of the island during the GENOESE and OTTOMAN periods, along with the OTTOMAN works inside it. At the designated time, we meet at our bus and head north. Our first stop is the 4 windmills by the sea, known as TABAKİKA, one of the island’s most important symbols on every platform. The historical windmills were used to draw water for the tannery workshops (tabakika), after which the area is named. After our photo break here, we continue our tour. Our next stop is DASKALOPETRA, the area where Homer, one of Chios Island’s most famous poets in antiquity, is said to have brought his Iliad and Odyssey works to world literature. A large rock that was turned into a school by his students in the 6th century BC, this beautiful stop will make you question the lifestyle and artistic understanding of thousands of years ago. Afterwards, we take our lunch break in LANGADA, the island’s most charming fishing village. At the traditional Greek tavernas by the sea, you will have the chance to taste traditional meze, classic Greek dishes, and the freshest seafood. On the way back, we stop for a photo at the AGIOS ISIDOROS church over the sea, one of the island’s symbolic landmarks. It is said that the story of mastic begins with this saint. After this stop, we return to the hotel and have free time. North Island and Chios City Tour Included! 3rd Day: Chios Island – Çeşme After breakfast, we take our seats on the bus and begin our tour to the southern villages of the island, known as MASTIHAHORIA, which has the monopoly on the production of MASTIC in the world. Our first stop is ARMOLIA village, famous for its handmade ceramics for centuries, where we take a short break to visit one of its famous ceramic workshops. Our next stop is MESTA, which has preserved its architectural structure to the present day more beautifully than many other medieval castle-villages on Chios Island. It takes us back in time to the 13th century, when it was built. We walk through its labyrinth-like narrow streets to the village square and take a coffee break. After visiting the Taksiarchis church, we leave the village. Our next village is PYRGI, unique in the world with the geometric shapes on its houses. Our guide provides detailed information about this technique called ksista, which has been practiced since the Genoese period for centuries. Afterwards, we go to a seaside taverna for lunch. Here, our guests can choose from a menu of various seafood and meze dishes. Our return is at 18:00. We hope to see you on your next trip. Southern Island Tour Included!
