Day 1: Istanbul - Rome Meeting with our valued guests at 04:00 in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal. Departure to Rome at 07:40 on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1861. Upon arrival at 09:20, we meet our private coach and set off for our city tour. After arrival, we will begin discovering the most important historical sites of Rome, the capital of world history and Italy, through a panoramic city tour. Our first stop is the Colosseum and the nearby Arch of Constantine. Then we continue with views of the Roman Forum and the city’s panoramic scenery from Capitoline Hill. We see the statue at Piazza della Bocca della Verità, pass in front of Teatro Marcello from the ancient period, and reach the banks of the Tiber River. Our tour ends with a view of Castel Sant’Angelo decorating the river. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Angels & Demons Tour. Transfer to our hotel and check-in to our rooms. Our first stop is Piazza della Repubblica, one of Rome’s liveliest areas. Then we visit Piazza Venezia, the administrative and historical center of the city, and view the magnificent Vittorio Emanuele II Monument panoramically. We take a short photo break at Piazza Navona, one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture, with Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. Our next stop is the ancient Pantheon, captivating with its architecture. Then we reach Fontana di Trevi (the Trevi Fountain), one of Rome’s symbols, and perform the traditional wish ritual. Our walk continues to the romantic Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, known as the northern gate of Rome. In the final part of our walk, we head to the Vatican, the center of the Christian world, and see the magnificent St. Peter’s Square, surrounded by Bernini’s colonnades. Then, accompanied by our guide, we enter St. Peter’s Basilica. You will have the opportunity to explore individually the magnificent dome designed by Michelangelo, the Pietà sculpture, and the unique works of art inside the basilica. No guided commentary will be provided inside; the visit will be in the form of personal exploration. Day 2: Rome – Naples & Pompeii – Rome After breakfast in the morning, the day is free at leisure. Guests who wish may join the Pompeii Ancient City and Naples City Tour or, in the evening, the Rome by Night tour. Overnight in Rome at our hotel. After visiting Pompeii, we continue to Naples, the largest city in southern Italy. In this historic port city built on the slopes of Vesuvius, we will take a panoramic city tour with our guide. We will have the opportunity to see important landmarks from the outside, such as Castel Nuovo, the Royal Palace, San Carlo Theatre, Galleria Umberto, and Spaccanapoli. Set out on a comfortable coach tour and discover how Rome takes on a different kind of magic at night. Day 3: Rome – Pisa – Florence – Montecatini After breakfast, we depart for Florence. On the way, guests who wish may join the Pisa Tour. Known as the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence, which shaped European art and intellectual history, is one of the world’s most important cultural centers, not only in Italy. This city, which rose under the patronage of the Medici family, was home to and inspired geniuses such as Dante Alighieri, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, and Botticelli. It also played a pioneering role throughout history in banking, textiles, and the arts, and once served as the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. During our city tour, we will see the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral (Duomo), one of Florence’s masterpieces combining Gothic and Renaissance architecture, along with its impressive exterior Baptistery, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Signoria Square, considered the political center of the city, Palazzo Vecchio (Palace of the Signoria) in the square, the ornamented Loggia dei Lanzi, Uffizi Square, home to world-renowned collections, Ponte Vecchio Bridge with its elegant historical structure over the Arno River, Piazza della Repubblica blending the modern and historical fabric of the city, and San Lorenzo Market, known for its local products. On our tour, Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be visited; our guide will provide information about the Pisa Cathedral, Baptistery, and Leaning Tower from the outside. After the tour, free time will be given for photos and exploring the area. You can capture unforgettable shots in front of this symbolic tower, one of Italy’s most photographed landmarks. Day 4: Florence – Milan After breakfast, check-out from the rooms and depart for Milan. Guests who wish may join the optional Como Lake and Town Tour en route. Upon arrival in Milan, we begin our city tour. Milan is not so much flashy as it is stylish, not so much creative as it is affluent. It is undoubtedly the heart of Italy’s economy and one of the country’s most impressive cities. During our Milan city tour, we will see Castello Sforzesco, one of the city’s historic monuments, and Galleria, which marked the 19th-century industrial revolution and is known as Europe’s first covered shopping arcade. The famous French engineer Gustave Eiffel was inspired by this structure when designing the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The Duomo, where Gothic art is strongly reflected, is the world’s fourth largest church with more than 2,000 statues on its façade. On the fashion center streets of Via Monte Napoleone and Via La Spiga, you can admire the richness of the shop windows. Optional Tour: Como Lake and Town Tour – Per Person 40 Euro Located approximately 1.5 hours from Milan, Lake Como is a pleasant region known for its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. On this tour, we arrive at the town of Como, take a short walk with our guide, and then provide free time for shopping and exploring. Day 5: Milan – Venice After breakfast, we depart for Venice. Guests who wish may join the Verona Tour en route. After the tour, we continue to Venice. From Tronchetto port, the final access point for vehicles, we take a vaporetto to the historic island. After a pleasant vaporetto journey, we disembark near San Marco Square, the historical center of the city, and begin our tour among the canals. In this city, which is free of motor vehicles and where everyday vehicles such as police cars, ambulances, garbage trucks, and municipal buses are replaced by boats, we will walk from the pier to San Marco Square. You will see the Venedik Prison and the Bridge of Sighs connecting the prison and the Doge’s Palace, San Giorgio Island directly across from the bridge, and the twin columns at the main façade of the Doge’s Palace, known as the entrance gate to the city, along with the statues symbolizing Venice on top of these columns. St. Mark’s Square, where St. Mark’s Basilica stands, was called “the most beautiful square in the world” by Napoleon. Although the basilica was completed in the 9th century, it took until the 17th century to acquire its present form. The four bronze horses on its main façade were brought from Istanbul after the Second Crusade. During your free time, you can watch the statues atop the clock tower strike the bell every hour and climb the bell tower to enjoy the panoramic view of Venice from above. Optional Tour: Verona Tour – 50 Euro We will see the ducal palace of the Verona Duchy, which remained under the Venetian Republic for centuries, Erbe Square, which is still used as a market area today as it was in the past, and in Erbe Square the second largest amphitheater in Italy after Rome’s Colosseum. We pass through Verona shopping streets paved with marble to show their wealth and see the palace where Dante Alighieri lived during his exile. After seeing the Scaligeri family tombs, which governed Verona, we panoramically view the house where Romeo and Juliet, inspired by British dramatist William Shakespeare, were born. Day 6: Venice – Ljubljana – Istanbul After breakfast, check-out from the rooms and depart for Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Guests who wish may join the optional Bled Lake Tour en route. Upon arrival, our panoramic city tour begins. With its romantic bridges, historic squares, and colorful buildings, it is one of the most charming cities in Central Europe. During our tour, the famous Triple Bridge and Dragon Bridge over the Ljubljanica River, Prešeren Square, the City Hall, and St. Nicholas Cathedral, notable for its Baroque architecture, will be seen panoramically. After the tour, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1064 at 20:15.
