Upon arrival at Geneva Airport at 13:15 local time, we will head to Geneva city center with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport to carry out our city tour. Geneva, known as the “French side of Switzerland,” and located on the shores of Lake Geneva, is a magnificent city where history, culture, science, and nature come together. The fact that the headquarters of international organizations (CERN, the World Health Organization, UEFA, FIFA, the United Nations) are located in Geneva places the city in a central position culturally and administratively. During our tour of Geneva, where museums, parks, historical monuments and streets, and clean air come together, the main highlights will include St. Pierre Cathedral, the Jet d’Eau fountain, which has become the symbol of Geneva and rises up to 140 meters, and the Reformation Wall. GENEVA – (Annecy Tour) – BERN – (By Train to Swiss Alpine Villages: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour) – ALSACE / BASEL
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Bern. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Annecy Tour (50 Euro). Annecy, which has earned the title of the “Venice of the Alps” thanks to the canals running through it and the Thiou River, captivates visitors with its canal-lined structure and its extraordinary location between the mountains and the lake. During our visit to Annecy, the Château d’Annecy, built in the 17th century and restored in 1947, St. Maurice Church, and the Palais de l’Isle, a favorite spot for photographers, will be seen panoramically. After a short free time on the shores of Lake Annecy, the 3rd largest lake in France, we complete our tour and continue our journey to Bern. Bern is one of the few cities in Europe whose medieval texture has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical character, it is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Bern, located within the borders of Switzerland and where German is the official language, also shows the influence of German culture in its architecture. Our first stop will be Interlaken. Situated between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, Interlaken takes its name from “inter-lakes” and is famous for its natural beauty and the enchanting views of these landscapes. We will carry out our tour in Interlaken, where the region’s important hotels, casinos, and shopping streets are located along our walking route. The Victoria Jungfrau Hotel and Höhematte Park, one of the city’s historical symbols, will be seen panoramically. After free time for photos and sightseeing, we head to the train station to continue to Lauterbrunnen, our next stop. After about a 20-minute train journey from Interlaken, we arrive in Lauterbrunnen. We will feel the deep structure of the valley and the steep rock walls as soon as we leave the station. Walking toward the village center, we will panoramically see Staubbach Falls cascading toward the valley floor and have the chance to photograph it. Lauterbrunnen is known for its valley lined with small settlements and walking trails, home to 72 waterfalls. On our walking tour along the designated route in the village, we will take plenty of photos of the traditional chalet architecture of the region, the natural formations surrounding the valley floor, and the wonderful nature-like-paradise scenery. On our tour, we first head to the fairy-tale town of Colmar, where we will see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the famous district of the city, Petite Venise (Little Venice), with its colorful houses around the Rhine River. In this unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and canals, you will have the opportunity to enjoy many delicious foods and buy many souvenirs according to your taste. Our next stop will be Riquewihr, famous for its vineyards, flower-filled balconies, distinctive rows of shops, cobblestone streets closed to car traffic, buildings that somehow survived World War II without damage, and charming cafés; with its tower containing the documents that preserve the town’s story, and its Dolder Museum, it resembles a Grimm fairy tale. After our visit in Riquewihr, and free time, guests who wish may join the optional Strasbourg & Freiburg Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop is Strasbourg, located on the borders of Germany, Switzerland, and France, and also the largest city in the Alsace region, which will welcome us as if it were lifted straight from a fairy tale, like a painting. After a short sightseeing tour and free time in St. Moritz, we head to our hotel in the Milan region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Como & Lugano Tour (80 Euro). We first head to Lugano. In this tour, we will take a peaceful walk along the shores of Lake Lugano, located within Switzerland, and be captivated by its unique nature, wonderful scenery, and city park, taking photos and enjoying the spectacular views. After free time in Lugano, we continue to the second part of the tour in Como. Upon arrival, we will visit Lake Como, famous for hosting summer homes of Hollywood celebrities, European aristocrats, and the world jet set, and take a photo break amid the lake’s magnificent scenery. As we walk through the narrow, winding, pedestrianized streets of the old town, we will have the chance to see souvenir shops and shop. After visiting La Croisette Boulevard, lined with many luxury restaurants, shops, and hotels, and Meynadier Street, we reach Nice. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, is also known for its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although it is recognized as Italy’s business and finance capital, it is also the right address for shopping and dining experiences. During our city tour, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano will be among the main highlights. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 15:25 local time and the end of the tour.
