Need to Know

GENERAL TERMS

- General Terms are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.

- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, Wtatil may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour price will be refunded to the guest. Regarding the refund of additional services purchased outside the tour; the domestic connecting flight ticket obtained from Wtatil will also be refunded to the guest, but if a visa service or travel health insurance has been used to submit a visa application on behalf of the guest, these services will have been used and therefore cannot be refunded to the guest. If no visa application has been made, the visa and travel health insurance will also be canceled and refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connecting flight from a different product provider independent of Wtatil, in the event the trip is canceled by Wtatil, the guest cannot request any refund from Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance any material and moral losses that may arise from the cancellation of the tour when purchasing the tour, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible.

- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, Wtatil has the right, in good faith, not to cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour will be provided individually for the guest, the guiding service included in the package will only cover the round-trip overseas airport transfer.

Cancellation and Changes

- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty, provided that they notify Wtatil in writing up to 30 days before the tour departure date, excluding airline tickets paid to and/or committed by Wtatil to the airline. If there are fewer than 31 days remaining until the trip start date, they may cancel by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the tour fee remaining after the airfare amount. If there are 15 days or fewer remaining until the trip start date, they may cancel by paying the entire tour fee as a penalty. If a cancellation is requested, the refund conditions for additional services such as domestic connections, visa service, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the cancellation request period, so prior information should be requested regarding refunds. Wtatil cannot make any commitment regarding the cancellation refund of additional services.

Guiding Services and Optional Tours

- The days and times of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums and historical sites at the destinations and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.

- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of the cities, lasting no more than 2-3 hours, conducted panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide narration and not including museum or site प्रवेशs. Panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, are not Wtatil's responsibility if they cannot be carried out on the day and time of the tour because local authorities do not allow visits or entry, or due to closed roads because of any event, and likewise when weather conditions make the tour impossible. Some tours may, where possible, be conducted by public transportation or on foot in areas with closed roads or where vehicle access is not permitted.

- Depending on the content of our tours, our guide may make changes to the days of city tours and/or additional tours according to the number of participants and whether museums and historical sites are closed. This also applies to changes that may occur in flight times.

- Important points to consider in our tours by Speed Boat: do not eat a heavy meal and do not drink excessive amounts of water immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guide of their condition.

- If the tour or meal services specified under the services included in the price are not used, no refund will be made.

About Flights

- Wtatil is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger, and in possible disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention shall apply.

- Delays or flight time changes may occur on scheduled and special flights. Wtatil is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. The passenger has purchased the trip accepting the risk of flight time changes/cancellation.

- Children aged 0-2 pay only the airport tax amount.

- In accordance with airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip airline tickets is not used, the return flight is canceled by the airline.

- The check-in and boarding procedures that must be carried out for participants in air tours are personal procedures, and these procedures must be completed by the guest before the flight at airports, at the relevant airline counters, or online on the airlines' websites.

- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur on flights are announced audibly at airports and displayed on information boards in the area. This information should be followed by the guests themselves.

- Wtatil is not responsible if guests who do not arrive at the specified airport at the times announced in accordance with airline rules for participation in the tour, who do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who complete check-in and boarding on time but do not board the plane, are unable to take the flight. All expenses related to obtaining new round-trip flight tickets required for guests who miss the plane to join the tour and transfers in the destination region, etc., are their own responsibility.

- The standard baggage allowance for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on these domestic flights may be reduced to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of Wtatil.

- For guests who wish to upgrade airline tickets with miles (to business or first class); once the tickets are issued, upgrades may be made depending on the availability of the airline (check the airline of your membership). No mileage guarantee is given for each flight. Please check whether the program tickets are in an upgradable class.

- On some airlines, food and beverage services and online check-in services may be subject to an extra charge.

Other Matters

- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any change or cancellation made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In this case, Wtatil cancellation conditions will apply.

- In cases where only category information is provided without specifying hotel name(s) in the tour program and/or options are offered for the same destination, the guest will be informed by Wtatil 48 hours before departure.

- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used farther than the specified locations or kilometers. In such a case, Wtatil will provide information 15 days before the departure date of the tour.

- At the time of registration for the purchased tour, the passport name, date of birth, and passport number must be entered/provided correctly into the system by the guest. Airline tickets are issued according to this information. Penalties for ticket cancellations or changes arising from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.

- To be able to use your mobile phones abroad, before leaving Turkey, check whether your phone is enabled for international use by contacting the company your line belongs to.

- Hotel check-in time for accommodation is 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00.

- Wtatil forwards room-related requests (high floor, close to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) to the hotel. Efforts are made to ensure that the reserved rooms match the guest's preferences, depending on the hotel's availability. The fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at the time of check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.

- Breakfast served in hotels differs from the rich breakfast customary in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as what is called a continental breakfast, with limited options consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group for groups.

- In some cases, there may be a double bed instead of twin beds. Most European hotels offer rooms with 2 beds that can be joined together if necessary.

- The child and extra bed policy may vary according to each hotel's room types.

- Any extra bed and baby crib are provided upon request and subject to the hotel's availability, and must be approved by the hotel.

- The capacity for an extra bed or baby crib in the room is 1 (maximum).

- Triple rooms have an extra bed application; in such rooms, the bed assigned to the 3rd person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are foldable beds and what are called coach beds. Our guests are deemed to have declared that they accept the congestion that may occur in the rooms due to the extra beds that will be added to the standard room in triple-room and/or child-inclusive reservations, as well as the bed type.

- If the number of children staying with adults and the ages of the children specified in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by our guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility belongs to the guest who made the incorrect declaration. Hotels may request identification to verify the age of children.

- In reservations with 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child prices are valid only if the child stays with two adults. Child discounts are valid for the “single child” who falls within the age group staying with 2 adults.

- Exchange rate changes during the day are reflected in TL prices. The rates at the time of payment apply. Your additional requests and some extra services you receive at the hotel (mini-bar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the price at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.

- Some countries have different practices regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any such city, tourism, or other taxes in force are collected by the hotel from the guest upon entry or exit.

- The road distances given in the programs are map-based. Travel times may be extended in cases such as traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the destination country, roadworks, and road conditions.

- Wtatil may, in mandatory or deemed necessary cases, change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used for the flight without altering the content of the program.

- The personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/IDs of the people participating in the tour are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. If forgotten items are found, the costs incurred while delivering them to the country and/or person belong to the owner of the item.

- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health problems, the relevant medications and reports with them.

- For possible extra expenses, a photo ID/passport issued by official institutions and a credit card or cash deposit may be requested by the hotel at check-in. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no intervention in this matter.

Visa and Passport

- There is no visa requirement for Turkish Republic citizens.

- The passports of our guests must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip.

- For customs crossings/border gates, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages so that entry-exit stamps can be placed in your passport.

- Being exempt from a visa for entry into the countries in this tour does not mean that entry into or exit from the country is guaranteed; the passport police have the authority to refuse you entry/exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.

- Our guests who are not Turkish citizens or who have dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using the passport of the other country must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedure applied by the country to be visited to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for the consequences arising.

- In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border gate of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger.

- Since there is a possibility that our guests under 18 years of age traveling alone or with only one of their mother or father may be asked for a document showing the mutual consent of the parents by the police officer on duty at the country entry-exit points; we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents show sensitivity on this matter.
