Meet with our valued guests 3 hours before the flight at the Turkish Airlines counter in the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport. After baggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, depart for Baku on Turkish Airlines. Upon arrival, we proceed with our panoramic Baku city tour by our private bus waiting for us at the airport. During our tour, we will see the Haydar Aliyev Cultural Center, Venice Park, Baku Boulevard, the famous Ferris Wheel, Flame Towers, the Turkish Martyrs’ Memorial, the Carpet Museum, and the National Assembly Square from the outside. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Guests who wish may join the extra Baku Old Town & by Night Tour (55 USD per person), organized by our guide. We begin our tour with the Old City (Icherisheher), with its magnificent historical structure, narrow cobblestone streets, the Maiden Tower (Qız Qalası) listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Shirvanshah’s Palace, historical mosques and baths, and the Miniature Book Museum among the places we will see. Then we will have free time on Nizami Street, known as Targovi Street during the Soviet era, resembling Istanbul’s Istiklal Street, and one of the city’s busiest and most popular spots, with live music, cafes, and restaurants. After the tour, we return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
2nd Day
BAKU
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Then free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Absheron Peninsula & Port Baku Mall Shopping Tour (85 USD per person), organized by our guide. We head to the Absheron Peninsula to visit the Ateshgah Architectural Complex, one of the three Zoroastrian fire temples, whose name means “fire temple.” This structure, known as the “Eternal Fire,” is one of the important pilgrimage sites according to the Zoroastrian faith. Then we will visit Yanar Dag, which the famous traveler Marco Polo called the “Land of Fire.” Discovered by chance in the 1950s, this Yanar Dag, where natural gas coming from underground has been burning continuously for centuries over an area of 65 hectares, will fascinate you in every aspect. After our tour there, we head to our next stop, Port Baku Mall, located at Baku Port, with its magnificent skyscrapers, world-famous brands, and the city’s finest restaurants. Here we will have free time for shopping and dinner. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day
BAKU
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Then free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Lunch Included Gobustan & Mud Volcanoes and Haydar Aliyev Cultural Center Tour (85 USD per person), organized by our guide. First, we travel to Gobustan, located about 70 km outside Baku and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, the most famous region in terms of archaeological artifacts. Located on the old Shirvan road and near the Caspian Sea, Gobustan is also described as an open-air museum. With its carved rocks and inscribed stones, Gobustan bears very important traces from the Middle Ages. Our next stop is the Mud Volcanoes area. This region is known for having half of the more than 700 mud volcanoes in the world, as well as the largest ones. Then we observe active volcanic movements together. After our tour there, we travel to Baku for a visit to the Haydar Aliyev Cultural Center. Designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid, reflecting the rise of the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijani mythology, this building was completed in approximately 3.5 years. Considered one of Azerbaijan’s most important works, this building is also regarded as a symbol of Azerbaijani society’s forward-looking approach with its futuristic and modern architecture. In addition to exhibitions, the center includes archaeological finds, an ethnography section, and personal belongings of Haydar Aliyev. In the evening, guests who wish may join the optional activity Azerbaijani Night with Dinner (75 USD per person), organized by our guide. We enjoy a wonderful evening with dinner accompanied by music unique to Azerbaijan. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
4th Day
BAKU – ISTANBUL
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then have free time until the time determined by our guide. Afterwards, we complete our hotel check-out and transfer to Baku Airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, flight to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled service. The tour ends upon arrival.
