Day 1 Antalya – Basel – Strasbourg Meeting 3 hours before the flight in front of the SunExpress Airlines counter at Antalya Airport international departures terminal. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Basel at 11:05 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 110. Upon arrival in Basel at 12:55 local time, we begin our Basel city tour with the vehicle waiting for us. Basel, the third most populous city in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that combines both modern and historical textures and, although small in area, is home to many treasures. During our city tour, we will see Basel Cathedral, where the grave of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus of Rotterdam is located, Marktplatz, the main square of the city, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Rois. After the tour, we depart for Strasbourg. As you explore Strasbourg, one of France’s most beautiful cities and the pearl of the Alsace region, you will feel as if you are traveling back in time through Europe’s largest cobblestone medieval neighborhoods. With its fairytale-like nature and historical structures, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and many works of art, it is truly worth seeing. Strasbourg also holds historical importance as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written. It appears before us as a city where Alsace culture blends with French architecture. During our city tour, Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, Place Kléber, and the Petit France district adorned with traditional Alsace houses will be among the places to see. After the tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its historical buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Located in southwestern Germany, nestled among lush green hills, Stuttgart stands out not only as an industrial giant but also for its elegant parks, vineyards, and cultural heritage. On our city tour, we will see Schlossplatz (Palace Square), the largest square in Stuttgart, Neues Schloss (New Palace), Altes Schloss (Old Palace), and Johanneskirche (St. John’s Church).
