We begin our Paris Highlights Tour with the Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris and indeed France. This steel-and-iron structure, built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Paris III Universal Exhibition, attracted great interest from tourists during and after the Universal Exhibition, so its demolition was abandoned and it has survived to the present day. We offer free time around the Eiffel Tower for photography and sightseeing. During this free time, guests who wish may ascend to the tower’s second floor, consisting of three sections (levels), each accessible by elevator, enjoy the unique view of Paris and take beautiful photographs (the optional elevator entrance fee for the Eiffel Tower is 23€, not included in the extra tour price). Following our Eiffel Tower visit, we organize a boat tour on the Seine River (Seine). (The boat tour is included in the extra tour fee.) The 776-kilometer-long Seine, one of the best-known rivers in the world, divides the city in two. During our cruise on the long boats gliding gently along the river, we will see many of Paris’ famous buildings and the 37 bridges over the river from a unique perspective. Following our Seine River tour, we pass via Invalides Square and panoramically view the Lady Diana Memorial, the 17th-century royal entertainment center Palais Royal, and Comédie-Française Square, home to many historic buildings including the French State Theater. We then visit a perfume museum displaying the development of both the city and its perfume industry, as well as valuable perfumes featuring French essences and fragrances presented in original bottles with aesthetically impressive designs. Finally, we arrive at the BENLUX Store, where free time is provided for shopping and sightseeing, including souvenirs, cosmetics, bags, watches and accessories. Following a photo stop at the Louvre Museum, built as a fortress for defensive purposes during the Middle Ages and later used as a museum after the French Revolution, and visited by nearly 10 million people in 2012, guests who wish may visit the museum during the free time that follows (the optional Louvre Museum entrance fee is 33€, not included in the extra tour price). Free time in the city center after the tour. In the evening, guests who wish may join our Paris Icons Tour (65 Euros), organized as an optional extra. After visiting the Sacré-Coeur Basilica (Church of the Sacred Heart) rising atop this 130-meter hill (funicular transportation fee is included in the extra tour fee), we will have free time in Artists’ Square to have our portraits drawn and explore the surroundings.
