After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Düsseldorf on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ794 at 06:25. Following our arrival at 08:25 local time, we proceed to Amsterdam by our waiting vehicle. Upon arrival, our Amsterdam city tour begins. During our city tour in Amsterdam, places to be seen include Dam Square, Central Station, the National Monument, the Royal Palace, the Flower Market, and the Red Light District. Overnight in Amsterdam or nearby. 2nd Day Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans – Marken – Volendam – Giethoorn – Amsterdam After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Fairytale Villages and Water Canals tour (Zaanse Schans & Marken & Volendam & Giethoorn Hobbit Village) (110 Euro). Our tour begins with Zaanse Schans. One of the hidden gems of the Netherlands, Zaanse Schans is a famous Dutch village with historic windmills dating back to the 17th century that are still operating today, and pristine nature. In Zaanse Schans, with its historic windmills and wooden houses, you will feel as if you are visiting an open-air museum, in a beauty unmatched anywhere in the world. Our second stop is Marken. After visiting this wonderful former island, which was once an island but later connected to the mainland by land reclamation, we head to Volendam. Volendam, with its harbor, characteristic Dutch houses, and people in traditional clothing, is a place that immediately captivates visitors. After enjoying a pleasant time in this town, where you can taste delicious seafood and cheeses and buy inexpensive souvenirs, our last stop is Giethoorn Hobbit Village. Considered one of the most beautiful places in the world, Giethoorn is one of Europe’s most fairy-tale-like destinations. After touring this beautiful city, we head to Ghent, another city where time seems to stand still. With a history of 1,400 years, Ghent was founded at the confluence of the Scheldt and Lys rivers and was one of the largest and richest cities of the Middle Ages. Famous for its medieval monuments and university, after our tour in this city we continue to Brussels. Brussels, one of the most remarkable stops on Benelux tours, stands out with its cosmopolitan character. Thanks to its diverse structure, the city offers travelers many different opportunities, and we will visit several valuable landmarks. Our first stop is the Eiffel Tower, the symbolic landmark of the city and visited by millions of tourists every year. You will have the chance to go up to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower and see Paris from above. Then we take a boat tour on the Seine River, which divides Paris into two. After seeing the historic structures on both banks of the river, we take the cable car up to Montmartre Hill, the highest hill in Paris. On this hill, where important artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Dalida, Vincent van Gogh, and Jean Marais left their mark, our first stop will be the Sacré-Cœur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart). After viewing this structure up close, we have a break at Tertre Square where you can shop and have your portrait drawn. Then we visit Notre Dame Cathedral, a symbol of French history and an indispensable part of Paris’s silhouette. Overnight in Paris or nearby. 6th Day Paris – Reims – Metz After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Reims, another beautiful city in France. Reims is the ancient capital of the Gallic people, and its name comes from the Remes from that period. With a history dating back to the Roman Empire and its unique Gothic architecture, Reims is the most important and largest city of the Champagne region and has witnessed the coronation ceremonies of many French kings. During our wonderful tour here, places to be seen include Reims Cathedral, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991, the Palace of Tau, Saint Remi Basilica, and La Porte de Mars. After the tour, we head to Metz. Metz is a charming city located in France’s Lorraine region between Nancy and Luxembourg. Ranked 4th in the 2019 “European Best Destination” competition, Metz is on UNESCO’s Tentative World Heritage List thanks to its historical, cultural, and architectural features. After our tour here, transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Metz or nearby. 7th Day Metz – Luxembourg After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Luxembourg. Upon arrival, our Luxembourg city tour begins. Notre Dame Cathedral, the Grand Ducal Palace, the City Hall, and Constitution Square are among the places to be seen. Finally, we visit Schengen, where the borders of Germany, France, and Luxembourg meet, and where the agreement eliminating passport controls between EU member states was signed. Cologne is one of Germany’s most important centers of transportation, culture, science, art, and commerce. During our city tour here, places to be seen include the Gothic Cathedral, the Rhine River, and shopping streets. After the tour, we continue to Düsseldorf, one of Germany’s most important cities of culture, art, and industry, where our city tour includes the revolving restaurant at Rheinturm, Schloss Benrath where some of Germany’s most important thinkers were educated, the Königsallee shopping avenue, and the green areas of Hofgarten.
