Day 1 Ankara – Frankfurt – Strasbourg Meeting 3 hours before the flight at the SunExpress Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Ankara Esenboğa Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Frankfurt on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 792 at 07:00. Upon arrival in Frankfurt at 08:50 local time, our city tour begins with the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. During our city tour of this city, which stands out with its rich cultural heritage and modern lifestyle, we will see Römer Square (Römerberg) and Goethe House, the birthplace of Goethe, from the outside. After the tour, we depart for Strasbourg with our waiting vehicle. While visiting Strasbourg, one of the most beautiful cities in France and the pearl of the Alsace region, you will feel as if you are traveling through time in Europe’s largest cobblestone medieval district. With its fairytale-like nature and historical buildings, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and many works of art, it is truly worth seeing. Also historically significant as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, Strasbourg presents itself as a city where Alsace culture and French architecture blend together. In this tour, where we will want to take photos at every opportunity, our first stop will be Eguisheim. Having been awarded the title of “Favorite French Village” in 2013, Eguisheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region create Eguisheim’s postcard-like appearance. After the tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its historical buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. As we walk through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, we will see St. Martin Cathedral, built entirely from pink stone, Little Venice, which resembles the city of Venice in Italy with its small canals, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building decorated with faces. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a charming part of the Alsace region as a medieval town of France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historical atmosphere. In particular, the 13th-century Château de Kaysersberg castle is one of the town’s most prominent symbols. Sainte-Croix Church in the center of the town attracts attention with its Gothic architecture. After that, our final stop is Riquewihr, one of Alsace’s most enchanting towns, with many half-timbered houses that add to its charm. This historic village captivates visitors with its old houses decorated with colorful flowers, narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere surrounded by walls. On our tour, we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and feel the medieval atmosphere while walking along the old city walls. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg. After exploring Baden Baden, where many famous writers and composers found inspiration, our final stop is free time at the outlet center where many famous brands are located. After seeing Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, which has Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center.
