ANKARA – FRANKFURT – STRASBOURG – (Colmar Tour) – ALSACE
After completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control procedures at Ankara Esenboğa Airport Domestic Terminal 3 hours before departure, we fly to Frankfurt at 05:20 with SunExpress Airlines’ direct scheduled flight XQ792. Upon arrival at Frankfurt Airport at 08:00 local time, we transfer by our private coach waiting at the airport to Strasbourg. Located on the borders of Germany, Switzerland, and France, and also the largest city in the Alsace region, Strasbourg will welcome us with a beauty like a painting, as if taken straight out of a fairy tale. During our panoramic city tour on foot in Strasbourg’s car-free center and streets, which was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1988 and has been hosting the European Parliament since 1992, we will see Gutenberg Square and Statue, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the city’s most important structure and located in the very heart of the city, and Kammerzell House, the oldest house in the city, which still continues to serve as a hotel and restaurant. After the Strasbourg tour, following free time, transfer to our hotel in the Alsace region. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Colmar Tour (55 Euro). In Colmar, which impresses visitors with its half-timbered houses dating back to the Middle Ages, canals, and preserved old town texture, and which reflects both French and German architectural influences due to its location near the German border, we will see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the colorful houses around the Rhine River, as well as the city’s most famous area, Petite Venise (Little Venice), during our tour. Here, in the unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and canals, we will have the opportunity to enjoy many delicious foods to suit your taste as well as buy many souvenirs. After the Colmar Tour program, we continue our journey to our hotel in the Alsace region. Room assignment and free time for rest. ALSACE – BERN – (By Train to Swiss Alpine Villages: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour) – GENEVA After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Bern. Bern is one of the few cities in Europe that has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical texture, it is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Bern, located within Switzerland and with German as its official language, also reflects the influence of German culture in its architecture. After our tour in Bern, built around the Aare River, guests who wish may join the optional By Train to Swiss Alpine Villages: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Interlaken. Named “inter-lakes” because it is situated between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, Interlaken is famous for its natural beauty and the breathtaking views of these landscapes. The region’s major hotels, casinos, and shopping streets are along our walking route. The Victoria Jungfrau Hotel, one of the city’s historical symbols, and Höhematte Park are among the places we will see panoramically. After some free time for photos and sightseeing, we proceed to the train station to move on to Lauterbrunnen, our next stop. After about a 20-minute train journey from Interlaken, we arrive in Lauterbrunnen. We will feel the deep structure of the valley and the steep rock walls as soon as we exit the station. While walking toward the village center, we will see the enchanting Staubbach Falls cascading toward the valley floor panoramically and have the chance to photograph it. Lauterbrunnen is known for its small settlements lined along the valley, home to 72 waterfalls, and its walking paths. During our walk along the designated route in the village, we will take plenty of photos of the traditional chalet architecture of the region, the natural formations surrounding the valley floor, and the wonderful natural scenery that resembles paradise. We complete the tour by returning to Interlaken by train. After the tour, we depart for Geneva and, upon arrival, conduct our city tour. Known as “the French side of Switzerland,” Geneva is a magnificent city where history, culture, science, and nature come together, located on the shores of Lake Geneva. The presence of the headquarters of international organizations in Geneva (CERN, World Health Organization, UEFA, FIFA, United Nations) gives the city a central position culturally and administratively. During our tour of Geneva, where museums, parks, historical monuments and streets, and clean air come together, key places to be seen include St. Pierre Cathedral, the Jet d’Eau fountain, which has become a symbol of Geneva and rises up to 140 meters, and the Reformation Wall. After the city tour, we arrive at our hotel in the Geneva region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time for rest. GENEVA – (Annecy Tour) – NICE After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Nice. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Annecy Tour (50 Euro). Known as “the Venice of the Alps” thanks to the canals running through it and the Thiou River, Annecy fascinates visitors with its canal-based layout and its extraordinary location between the mountains and the lake. During our tour, the Château d’Annecy, built in the 17th century and restored in 1947, St. Maurice Church, and Palais de l’Isle, a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts, will be seen panoramically. After a short free time on the shores of Lake Annecy, France’s third-largest lake, we complete the tour and continue our journey to Nice. Upon arrival at our hotel, room assignment and free time for rest. NICE – (Cannes & Nice Tour) – (Eze & Monaco & Monte Carlo Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Cannes & Nice Tour (70 Euro). On this tour, we first head to Cannes. Famous for hosting the annual Cannes Film Festival, Cannes has a sparkling sea and golden beaches. During our city tour, we first see the old town, the city’s original settlement. While walking through the narrow, winding, traffic-free streets of the old town, we will have the chance to see souvenir shops and shop. After our visit to La Croisette Boulevard, which stretches along Cannes’ coast and hosts many luxury restaurants, shops, and hotels, and Meynadier Street, we enjoy free time before arriving in Nice. During our Nice tour, we will see Promenade des Anglais, Nice Port, Massena Square, the Flower Market, and the Courthouse. After our Nice tour, during the free time provided, guests who wish may join the optional Eze & Monaco & Monte Carlo Tour (80 Euro). On this tour, our first stop is Eze Village, one of the most famous villages on the Côte d’Azur with its magnificent scenery, where we visit a perfume factory where you can test and purchase many beautiful and famous perfumes at affordable prices. Afterward, our second stop is the country of Monaco, on the French Riviera, the world’s smallest country after the Vatican. Upon arrival, we will conduct our panoramic city tour of Monte Carlo, the center of luxury and splendor. After the tour, we return to our hotel in the Nice region. NICE – (Portofino Tour by Boat) – MILAN After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we set off for Milan. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Portofino Tour by Boat (65 Euro). Portofino, surrounded by colorful houses and inspiring songs with all its beauty, captivates visitors with its narrow streets, colorful houses, green hills, and turquoise Mediterranean scenery. After our Portofino visit, we continue our journey to Milan. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, is also notable for its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although known as Italy’s business and financial capital, Milan is also the right address for shopping and dining. During our city tour in Milan, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romana are among the main places to be seen. At the end of the Milan city tour, transfer to our hotel in the Milan region. Room assignment and free time for rest. MILAN – BERNINA EXPRESS / RED TRAIN – ST. MORITZ & HEIDI’S VILLAGES – ZURICH After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Tirano for the unforgettable and dreamlike train journey on the Bernina railway line. Built between 1898 and 1904, this world-famous line, now on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, is a dream for many travel enthusiasts. During this magical journey, we will watch extraordinary scenery and have the chance to photograph it. After approximately a 2-hour enjoyable train journey, we arrive in St. Moritz, Switzerland’s natural wonder and a favorite destination of the jet set, and after some free time and a short sightseeing stop depending on the Bernina railway train departure time, we head toward our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region. After a panoramic journey through the landscapes of Heidi’s Villages, featuring endless mountains and green meadows, which leave a sweet childhood memory for all of us and where the lovable heroine lives in the Alps with her grandfather and her closest friend Peter, we continue to Zurich. Upon arrival, we conduct our Zurich city tour, during which Fraumünster Church, Grossmünster Church, the Swiss National Museum, the Opera House, Lake Zurich, the Clock Tower, Old Guild Houses, Zurich Altstadt (Old Town), and the lively and colorful Bahnhofstrasse (Station Street), lined with world-famous shops, will be seen panoramically. After the Zurich tour and a short free time, we transfer to our hotel in the Zurich region. Room assignment and free time for rest. ZURICH – (Alsace Pearls: Riquewihr & Ribeauvillé Tour) – OUTLET – FRANKFURT After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for the outlet center. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Alsace Pearls: Riquewihr & Ribeauvillé Tour (60 Euro). Our first stop is Riquewihr, surrounded by vineyards in the Alsace region, famous for its flower-decorated balconies, unique rows of shops, cobblestone streets closed to cars, buildings that somehow survived World War II without damage, and charming cafés; with its tower that houses the Dolder Museum, which documents the city’s story and brings it to the present day, Riquewihr resembles a Grimm fairy tale. After our tour in Riquewihr, we arrive in Ribeauvillé. Known for preserving its medieval texture, with half-timbered houses, narrow streets, and a location surrounded by vineyards, Ribeauvillé captivates visitors during our walking tour. After completing the tour, we continue our journey to the outlet center. Free time at the outlet center, which hosts stylish shops, cafés and restaurants, and activity areas belonging to Italy’s and the world’s most prestigious fashion brands that shape global fashion trends, for quality shopping at affordable prices, then we depart for our hotel in the Frankfurt region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time for rest. FRANKFURT – ANKARA After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we head to Frankfurt Airport for our return flight to Ankara. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control procedures, we fly to Ankara at 09:10 with SunExpress Airlines’ direct scheduled flight XQ793. Arrival at Esenboğa Airport at 13:30 local time and end of the tour.
