DAY 2: MONREALE – ERICE – CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO
After breakfast, we depart from the hotel for our Monreale tour. We visit the Monreale Cathedral, one of the most important examples of Byzantine architecture in Sicily. This structure, which is one of the masterpieces of Byzantine art with its 6,500 m² of glass mosaics, is also one of the most impressive examples of Norman-era art.
Then we move on to Erice, a typical medieval town with its walls, courtyard houses and stone streets. During the free time here, you will feel like you have stepped into history and will be able to photograph beautiful views from every angle.
After Erice, we continue to Castellammare del Golfo, the charming town of Trapani. In this town, which stands out both for its historical texture and natural beauty, you can enjoy pleasant walks during the free time we will have at Aragonese Castle and along the coast. At the end of the tour, return to our hotel and overnight.
DAY 3: PALERMO – CEFALU – CATANIA
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and head to Cefalu, a charming fishing town on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. After spending time here at the historic 12th-century cathedral, the Fishermen's Gate and the unique streets, we continue to Catania. On our panoramic city tour along the way, sights to be seen include Duomo Cathedral, Fontana Dell'Elefante, Piazza Repubblica and Etna Street. Then arrival at our hotel and free time. Overnight at our hotel in Catania.
DAY 4: GIARDINI NAXOS – TAORMINA – SAVOCA
After breakfast, we start our full-day tour. Our first stop is Giardini Naxos, famous for its colorful streets and volcanic beaches. Then we continue to Taormina. In this charming city, built at the foot of Mount Tauro, we spend enjoyable time among its streets, boutique shops and views. Afterwards we head to Savoca. In this historic village where the world-famous film "The Godfather" was shot, we see iconic places such as Bar Vitelli and San Michele Church. After the tour, return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 5: ETNA – SIRACUSA – CATANIA AIRPORT – ISTANBUL AIRPORT
After breakfast, we complete our check-out procedures and head to Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Along the way, we have the chance to photograph the unique scenery offered by nature. We see Silvestri Crater, the second crater at an altitude of 1,800 meters, and take short walks in areas filled with rock fragments formed by lava.
After Etna, we continue to Siracusa, the city where the famous mathematician Archimedes lived. Sights to be seen here include the Fountain of Arethusa, the Cathedral, the Fountain of Diana and the Temple of Apollo. At the end of the tour, we proceed to Catania Airport. After passport and baggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul at 19:25 on THY flight TK1396. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:50 local time and the end of our tour.
DAY 1: ISTANBUL AIRPORT – PALERMO
By entering through gate 3 of Istanbul Airport, we meet our valued guests at 04:00 in front of the THY international flights F check-in counters (counters 1–27) and complete check-in procedures. Departure to Palermo at 07:55 on THY flight TK1373. Arrival in Palermo at 08:25 local time. After passport and baggage procedures, we meet our private vehicle waiting for us and head to the city center. On our panoramic tour of Palermo city center, sights to be seen include Politeama Square, Quattro Canti Square, Via Roma and Via Liberta streets. Then transfer to our hotel and check-in to rooms. Free time for the rest of the day. Overnight at our hotel.
