Note: Your hotel reservation has been made from today onwards so that you can take your rooms immediately upon arrival due to your flight time. 2nd Day Bakü Ateshgah- Absheron- Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center 03:05 Arrival in Bakü and transfer to the hotel. Check-in to your rooms. After breakfast, we will start our tour a bit late to recover from tiredness. After breakfast, we will have free time. We will start the day with a visit to Ateshgah (Fire Temple), one of the three Zoroastrian Temples that have survived to this day and the most important one, which was first built in the 3rd century AD. Known for its burning fire since ancient times, it gained fame in the world during the active period of the Silk Road and was rebuilt by Zoroastrian Pilgrims who came to the region in the 17th century. After our visit here, we will go to see the dancing flames of Absheron Fire Mountain. Following this, we will continue our tour with a visit to the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, designed by the Iraqi-born British futurist architect Zaha Hadid, which has a massive area of 101 thousand square meters and has attracted worldwide attention due to its construction. The complex represents the rise of the Caspian Sea in Azeri Mythology, consisting of theaters and conference halls, a museum, and art galleries. (IMPORTANT NOTE: On some days, the cultural center does not accept visitors. Therefore, our company cannot be held responsible for this situation as the days and hours are not announced in advance. In such a case, the center will be viewed from the outside. If it is open, we will enter.) After the free time given, we will transfer back to the hotel. Accommodation at our hotel. 3rd Day Bakü (Dinner with Azerbaijani Night) After breakfast, we depart from our hotel for our Full-Day Bakü City Tour. Bakü's traditional and historical characteristics have recently been complemented by a modern appearance thanks to significant investments made. In this comprehensive tour where you will see and get to know the most important areas of New and Old Bakü, we will first go to Yayla Park via the Martyrs' Lane. Here, you will be able to enjoy panoramic views of the city of Bakü and the Bakü Bay and take plenty of photos. Then, we will visit the Old City or Inner City, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You will see and learn about Bakü's historical and traditional characteristics in this part of our tour. The places we will see here and nearby include the Maiden Tower built in the 12th century, the Juma Mosque from the 15th century, the historically significant Sinigala Minaret, and the Mohammed Mosque, the world’s only Miniature Book Museum, the Shirvanshah Palace, which is considered one of the pearls of Azerbaijani historical architecture, the Ismail Palace, which now serves as the Academy of Sciences, the heart of the city, Independence Avenue, the Fountain Square named after the historic fountain located here, the Philarmonic Fountain, and the National Carpet and Carpet Museum, which has very precious handicrafts. After, we will visit the areas with very modern futuristic architectural works, including the globally renowned Flame Towers, and head to Bakü Boulevard. This area consists of a pedestrian path parallel to the beach area, also known as "Little Venice," where Oil Barons built their mansions a century ago. At the end of our tour, we will head to our local venue for the Dinner and Folklore-Show Azerbaijani Night. After a beautiful night with traditional Mugham music and local flavors at one of the historic venues in the city, we will transfer back to our hotel. Accommodation at our hotel. 4th Day Bakü- Shamakhi- Gabala- Sheki After breakfast and checking out from the rooms, we set off towards Shamakhi (approximately 125 km). The city, known from the Shamakhi Siege which is considered an important phase in the Ottoman-Safavid War, is also one of the most important places in the Caucasus for winemaking and carpet weaving. Here, we will see the old town center, the Yeddi Gumbez Tombs located at the foot of Gulistan Castle, and the Juma Mosque. After that, we will set off towards Gabala, known for its natural beauty (approximately 95 km) with the unique landscapes of Nature National Park. By the shores of Lake Nohur during our free time, Gabala, with its mountains, forests, and waterfalls that appear like heaven on earth, will recharge your energy. After our enjoyable break, we will continue our journey to our final stop of the day, Sheki (approximately 90 km). Upon our arrival, we will explore Sheki, known as Azerbaijan’s ancient, authentic, and most beautiful city. Sheki, a classic mountain city, is known for its gentle people and their unique culture and cuisine. The Upper and Lower Sheki Caravanserais, part of which is currently used as a hotel, the historic stone and wooden buildings spread over narrow cobbled streets, the magnificent Han Palace, a masterpiece from the Persian era included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Sheki Fortress consisting of the Sheki Crafts Workshop, Ethnography Museum, Art Gallery, and Art House, and the Han's relatives' special building, the Sheki Khan Palace, along with the city's most significant religious structures, the Khan and Juma Mosques, will all be among the places you will see in our tour. In the market where we will have free time, you can taste the famous Azerbaijani Tea along with Sheki Halva and shop for many handicrafts, especially the world's most beautiful silk products. At the end of our tour, we will transfer back to our hotel and check-in to our rooms. Accommodation at our hotel. 5th Day Sheki- Bodbe Monastery- Signaghi- Tbilisi After breakfast and checking out from the rooms, we will head towards the Azerbaijan/Georgia Border (approximately 90 km). According to regulations, the vehicle will be changed at the border. After the necessary procedures, we will continue our journey towards Bodbe Monastery, one of the most important religious temples in Georgia, known for its architecture and its surrounding nature (approximately 60 km). After our visit here, we will head to “The City of Love,” Signaghi (approximately 15 km). This beautiful place, known for its natural beauty, restored charming stone buildings and attractions, features the Signaghi Fortress, which bears the nickname "Georgia Wall" with its walls exceeding 4 km in length, St. George Church, which will impress you with its architecture and surrounding nature, the well-maintained historic buildings comprising the city center, and the "Doctor on the Back of a Donkey" statue, which was built in honor of a town doctor who was very much loved because he rushed to help sick villagers by donkey all the way. During our tour of the city, we will travel with special electric vehicles and have photo breaks at points like Kakheti panoramic point, Signagi panoramic point, and St. George Tower while taking a walk along the city walls offering splendid views. During our free time, our guests can freely explore this charming place, shop, and enjoy their lunch. Afterward, we will head towards Tbilisi (approximately 10 km). Upon arrival, we will check-in to our rooms. Accommodation at our hotel. 6th Day Tbilisi (Dinner with Caucasian Night) After breakfast, we begin our Full-Day Tbilisi Tour. In this beautiful city that always surprises its visitors, we will first visit Narikala Fortress, Bridge of Peace, Rike Park, Meidan, Ethnography Museum, Agmashenebeli Avenue, City Hall, Rustaveli National Theatre, Viceroy Palace, National Bank of Georgia, Mtatsminda Hill, Mother Georgia Monument, the main square of the city, Freedom Square, the building that houses the Parliament of the country, the Archaeological Museum, over 3500 works at the Fine Arts Museum, the replica of the 11th-century Samtavisi Cathedral, the National Museum of Georgia housing important national artifacts, the Opera and Ballet Theatre which hosts significant performances, the MoMa Museum famous for its statues and temporary exhibitions, the Historical Books Museum known for its old books and manuscripts, and the Fine Arts Academy famous for its Mirror Hall. You will also see the Sameba Holy Trinity Cathedral, which is the largest religious structure in contemporary Georgia, and the statue known as “The Horseman King” which belongs to Vakhtang Gorgasali on Metekhi Hill, along with the Methxeti Virgin Mary Church that dates back to 455 BC and is known as a historic religious site. Afterward, during our walking tour, we will see the Orbeliani Park, famous for the Flower Market and Covered Market, and the street of Atoneli, which has become an attraction point with the restoration of 13 important historical buildings, as well as Gabriadze neighborhood. We will also view Europe Square, the Kura River, and Rike Park, Avlabari District, and the Georgian Patriarchate, along with the Sioni Cathedral. Then we will visit the Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theatre and the Angels Clock Tower, and walk through the Shardeni Street, before enjoying some free time at this beautiful square where you can taste local flavors at authentic cafes. We visit Bethlehem Street, the center of the Georgian Jewish Community, before heading to the Kale Area near Narikala, the symbol of the city, where we will take a short cable car ride to the top to see the Kartvlis Deda Monument, the Mother of Georgia Statue which was built in 1958 to celebrate Georgia’s 1500th Anniversary. You will also be able to take panoramic photos of the city from here. Returning back down to the city with the cable car, we will visit the historic Abanotubani area, known for its historical sulfer baths, and see the "Double Mihrab" Juma Mosque built by the Ottomans in 1724 and Chreli Abano Sulfur Baths. After descending from the famous "Spiral Staircase" and crossing the "Love Wooden Bridge," we will have free time in the underground bazaar in the center of the city. Afterwards, we will head to our venue for a captivating Caucasian folklore show where you can also enjoy a menu of Georgian delicacies. At the end of this delightful day, we will transfer back to our hotel. Accommodation at our hotel. 7th Day Tbilisi- Chronology Monument- Gori- Uplistsikhe- Jvari- Mtskheta- Tbilisi After breakfast, we will provide some free time for you to relax. At a time determined by our guide, we will check out from our rooms and set off for a short journey to the Georgian Chronology Monument (approximately 15 km). Located on Keeni Hill, this monument, which began construction in 1985 but will never be completed due to continuously added current important events, is a very rare work of its kind in the world. After that, we will continue towards Gori (approximately 85 km). Upon our arrival, we will visit the Stalin Museum, which displays many items and photographs from the time of Stalin, who transformed the Soviet Union into a great industrial and military power. After that, during our free time in Gori, you can freely explore this charming city. Next, we will head to Uplistsikhe, known for its cave-dwelling homes (approximately 15 km). Our next stop in the tour will be Jvari (approximately 65 km), a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 6th century on a high hill overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers, which is one of Georgia's most significant historical and religious treasures. The monastery has been at the center of many important historical events and is appreciated for its architectural beauty and breathtaking views. After finishing our visit here, we will head to Mtskheta, the former capital of Georgia (approximately 20 km). Known as "UNESCO City," this historic town is one of the oldest settlements that have survived to this day. During our tour of this town, we will see the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, considered one of the most sacred religious sites in Georgia. During our free time, you can complete your shopping for globally famous Georgian wines and souvenirs and explore this fairytale-like town freely. Before our airport transfer, we recommend enjoying dinner at one of the pleasant restaurants here. At the time determined by our guide, we will transfer to Tbilisi Airport (approximately 50 km). 8th Day Tbilisi- Istanbul 03:50 We depart with the scheduled flight PC 327 of Pegasus Airlines to Istanbul. 05:25 Arrival.
