In Nemi, where narrow streets opening onto squares, a charming lake and valley view, and the scent of strawberries blend together, we continue with a sightseeing tour before taking you on a historical journey through the icons of Rome, the city known as Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world.” With arts, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine, Rome fascinates visitors with buildings in different styles spanning from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the masterpieces created by architects competing with each other attract thousands of tourists every season, Rome carries even these crowds without overwhelming the visitor thanks to its beauty and elegance. On our tour, in the imperial city of Rome, which has shaped European civilization and witnessed 23 centuries of history, we will first see the Colosseum, the city’s symbol and an ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire, the Roman Forum, which served as the ceremonial center of the city during imperial times, the Trevi Fountain, where, according to legend, anyone who throws a coin in will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps, famous for street performers, and Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo, which will be seen panoramically. At the end of the tour, we offer free time in Rome city center at the Pantheon. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Vatican and Rome Local Neighborhoods Tour (65 Euro).
