After seeing the Historical Stone Bridge located on the Seyhan River in Adana, we visit one of the region's most important mosques, the Adana Sabancı Central Mosque. The main dome with a diameter of 32 meters corresponds to the 32 obligatory prayers, the 28 domes in the courtyard correspond to the 28 prophets mentioned in the Quran, the 40 windows in the main dome correspond to the age of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v.) and the 40 rakats of prayer, and the 6 minarets of 99 meters correspond to God's 99 beautiful names. After our visit to this architectural wonder, we explore the Ramazanoğlu Mansion, built during the Ramazanoğulları Beylik era.
  • After receiving information from our guide, we take photos of the Great Clock, one of the symbols of Adana. We then provide free time for lunch. After that, we will visit the Cinema Museum, opened in 2011 at the Adana House, where we can find sculptures, photos, and works of Adanan directors, actors, screenwriters, painters, and writers. Then we move to the festival area.

Day 3

  • Tarsus – Cave of the Seven Sleepers – Tarsus Waterfall – Tarsus Houses – Prophet Daniel's Tomb – St. Paul Well – Forti Kaşık Bedesten – Nusrat Mineship – İstanbul
  • On the 3rd day of the Adana Orange Blossom Festival with Dgn Travel, after having breakfast at the hotel, we board our bus and begin our journey to Tarsus, surrounded by the scent of oranges. We first visit the Cave of Seven Sleepers, which holds great significance in both Islam and Christianity.
  • We visit the cave where it is believed that 7 people, along with their dog, sheltered from the oppression of the idolaters and slept for 3 centuries, as mentioned in the Kehf Surah of the Quran. Next, we head to the Tarsus Waterfall, known for its natural beauty. We complete our therapy with the sound of the waterfall formed by the high fall of the Berdan (Kydnos) river, and then proceed to our vehicle.
  • In Tarsus, one of the significant cities surrounded by robust walls in the Roman period, we see the Cleopatra Gate, which has survived, and receive information about it. We then visit the tomb of the Prophet Daniel, who saved the Jews from Babylonian captivity and the tomb mosque. Following this, we explore the Forti Kaşık Bedesten, which was known as the White Bazaar in the past. After getting some free time for shopping at the bedesten built during the Ramazanoğlu period, we see the well of St. Paul, one of the most important saints in Christianity. After receiving information from our guide about the sections that have survived from the house declared as a pilgrimage site for Christianity, we take a walk between the old Tarsus Streets and houses. After a free time for tasting local products and shopping, we go to a famous Tantuni place for lunch. After the meal, we head to the Nusrat Mineship, which changed the fate of the naval battles in Çanakkale.
  • The Nusrat Mineship, which gained the title of "the world's most famous mineship" as it changed the course of the war on March 18, 1915, was sold to a private company in 1962 and sank off the coast of Mersin in 1990. Salvaged in 1999, it was brought to Tarsus in three pieces and opened to visitors in 2003. After visiting the Nusrat Mineship Museum, we board our bus and begin our return journey to Istanbul with the scent of oranges still lingering on us. We complete the Adana Orange Blossom Festival tour with Dgn Travel, saying goodbye as we drop our valued guests off at the locations where we picked them up, hoping to meet again at another Dgn Travel organization.
