Life and Short Information on Cruise Ships Cruise ships can be described as floating deluxe hotels equipped with state-of-the-art technology. You can follow the daily program indicating the activities to be held from the ship newspaper distributed to your room the night before each day. This newspaper can be considered as a bulletin where you can be informed about all activities on board, weather conditions, information about the port of call, contact information for special restaurants or spa reservations, and all information about what will happen on the ship that day. The common language on board is English. If you are on a program with a Turkish guide, our guide will assist you in all matters from ship bulletins to restaurant menus and will prepare special bulletins for you, our valued guests. At check-in to the ship, you will need to hand over your luggage, passport, and credit card information (a deposit will be taken for possible expenses) at the check-in desk located at the entrance of the ship. Your passport will be returned to you only after the tour is completed once it is handed over to the ship at the beginning of your trip. Once you hand over your passport to the ship, you will be given a Boarding-Card. This card is used as your passport, as the key to your cabin, and for all transactions you will make on board. Various information such as your first and last name, cabin number, and dining session will be written on the Boarding-Card. There is a dress code for passengers on the ship. Since there are special events such as the captain's welcome dinner and gala night on board, we kindly ask you to bring elegant and classic outfits. You can follow events such as the gala night and welcome dinner, as well as special events through the ship newspaper mentioned at the beginning. The dress code is also specified in the bulletin. On cruise ships, there are open buffet restaurants where you can eat at any time of the day for about 20 hours. In addition to the breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the main restaurant included in your fare, there are fast food spots and buffets available. There are also specialty themed restaurants on board. You can taste special meals prepared by special chefs in restaurants like Thai or Steak house by making reservations in advance. Thematic restaurants are subject to extra charges. On cruise ships, there are many facilities and activities available for families with children. There are children's pools and play clubs where children can spend their time on board. Cruise ships are designed by engineers not to sway during travel, and ship captains receive special training as well. Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed areas of the ship, including your cabin. You can smoke in areas where there are no signs prohibiting smoking on open decks and where ashtrays are available. There are doctors and nurses available on board. There are cabins for disabled guests on the ships.
